What is the history of the Wild Horse Mustang Club?

The Wild Horse Mustang Club was founded in 2004 to bring the Great American Pony Drive to Beaumont, TX.

Our first big event, on April 18, 2004 was to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Mustang.  Along with our sponsors we threw a big party on Crockett Street in Beaumont, Texas.  Mustang enthusiasts from all of the US and the World attended to welcome the Pony Drive participants to their first stop in the great state of Texas.

The following day, club members joined in the caravan to Tyler and Dallas.  Several members continued on to the stops in Oklahoma City and Mustang, OK.

How often do you meet?

The Wild Horse Mustang Club meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm for dinner, good conversation and event planning.  Check the home page or the calendar for meeting times and locations, or call one of the officers listed below.

What else does the club do?

The club members try to get together for other activities every month.  These include shows, cruise-nites and road trips.  Annual events include road rallies, the Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill, various racing events at Houston Raceway Park and the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Hot Summer Nights, and various other events within driving distance.

We also host an annual show in the Spring that is open to all Ford-Powered vehicles, but features America’s favorite pony car, the Mustang.

Are you chartered by the Mustang Club of America?

In November 2009, we received a charter from the Mustang Club of America. We look forward to representing America's favorite pony car.
